Launch event for Nowgen’s Bioinformatics Training Suite
Nowgen is holding an event to launch Nowgen’s Bioinformatics training suite and Teaching and demonstration laboratory on Thursday 21 July at 8:30am. There are welcome presentations followed by demonstrations in the suite and laboratory.
With 20 high-performance PCs, Nowgen’s bioinformatics suite is ideal for delivering training based on processing next generation sequencing datasets and other memory intensive tasks. Nowgen runs courses in molecular biology techniques in the teaching and demonstration laboratory.
Nowgen is a centre of excellence in public engagement, education and professional training, part of the NIHR Manchester Biomedical Research Centre, and collaborates with the National Genetics Reference Laboratory Manchester to deliver bioinformatics training. Nowgen has a growing reputation for the training of health professionals, university researchers and members of the pharmaceutical industry in new biomedical science.
