New and Developing Technologies for Genetic Diagnostics Meetings

The next meeting in this biennial series will be held on the 7th and 8th July 2008 and will cover a wide range of techniques and issues relevant to genetic diagnostics in the 21st century. It is aimed primarily at the UK NHS genetic diagnostic community and will be of interest to established scientists, trainees and technical staff. The programme is designed to include technologies that are currently being implemented but also give an insight into what might become available over the next 5 to 10 years. The meeting is limited to around 100-120 delegates and provides a good forum for discussion of the technologies themselves, user experiences and future directions.

The 2008 meeting will focus on new sequencing technologies, non-invasive prenatal diagnosis, molecular cytogenetics copy number determination. Confirmed speakers include Dennis Lo, Johan den Dunnen, Orsetta Zuffardi, Sinuhe Hahn, Mats Nilsson, Ken Mills, Neil Avent, John Armour, Peter Campbell, Patrick Tarpey, Hagan Bayley and Chris Mattocks.

The registration deadline is Friday 27th June however we recommend registering as soon as possible to ensure a place and also to take advantage of early booking accommodation discounts.
