High throughput mutation detection strategy
LIMS/process interface

Project Leader: Chris Mattocks

The introduction of robotic liquid handling and computerised analysis facilitates more sophisticated data exchange between the LIMS and the lab processes. We have developed a completely integrated system that generates work lists for the various component instruments depending on batch size and make up as defined either automatically or manually in the LIMS. Wee have used export protocols within the analysis packages to directly allocate results to the appropriate sample within the LIMS. Both these interfaces reduce the chances for error and streamline sample processing. A simplified process diagram of the proposed system can be viewed here.
