Nowgen course: Introduction to NGS bioinformatics

This one-day course is aimed at researchers and scientists from the NHS, academia and industry who require an introduction to next generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis.

Delegates will learn about basics of NGS bioinformatics, data quality control, read mapping and downstream analysis. The course will look at different platform data files, open-access tools and resources for processing NGS information. Short practical sessions will be used to demonstrate these concepts, followed by a longer practical that will use Genomatix’s software system to analyse NGS data.
